Instructions: Because this is a 1 1/2 lb loaf that I made, it is supposed to serve 14 but realistically I felt it should serve 10 and this is what I based the nutritional analysis on.
*NOTE: Original recipe used butter (1 stick =3D 8 Tbsp), cut into 1/2"= pieces **NOTE: Original recipe used 3 eggs ***NOTE: Or dried fruit such as dried dates, apricots, blueberries or cranberries ****NOTE: Or walnuts or pecans (if desired) Place all ingredients except the dried fruit in the machine according to the manufacturers instructions. Bake the bread on the white bread cycle. Add the chopped fruit after the first kneading or according to the manufacturers recommendation on when to make additions. When the baking is complete, remove the bread pan from the machine with potholders or oven mitts. Turn the pan upside down, and shake out the loaf. Place the bread on a wire rack to cool. NOTES : This tasted better then I expected it to. This specialty is often similar in taste to a sweet, fragrant bread. It is richer and sweeter than most other breads. Plain or toasted it is outstanding. Email this Recipe:
