Cream butter with sugar; add instant coffee, spices and salt. Store in jar with tight-fitting cover in refrigerator. Makes 1 1/2 cups base or enough for 12 servings. For each serving: In mug, combine 2 tablespoons base with 2 tablespoon rum, 2 tablespoons heavy cream and a few strips of lemon and orange peel; stir in 2/3 cup boiling water. Email this Recipe:
