Instructions: Cream butter and sugar until thick and pale. Add the beaten egg, coffee and vanilla essence. Lastly, add the sifted flour and work into a firm dough.
Roll out 1/4" thick and cut rounds. Glaze with egg white or sugar and water. Sprinkle half the biscuits with nuts. Arrange evenly spaced on a lightly greased baking tray. Bake 350 F 20 minutes. When cool, join biscuits together with icing. ICING: Mix together the icing sugar, butter, and coffee essence. Email this Recipe:
