2 tbl Whole black peppercorns
4 x New York strip steaks, each about 3/4 pound and 1-inch thick

1. Coarsely grind coffee beans and peppercorns in a food processor or coffee grinder. Press mixture evenly on both sides of steaks.

2. Lightly brush cooking grate with vegetable oil. Grill steaks directly over high heat, turning once, for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until desired doneness is reached.

3. Remove steaks from grill and season both sides with salt. Allow to rest 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
