Instructions: 1.Put the cardamome, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, coriander and water in a saucepan. Heat to boiling, cover and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Pass through a very fine strainer.
2. Put in a large pot the Port, sugar, spiced water and beer. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Do not boil. 3. Add 1/2 cup of the hot liquid to beaten egg yolks. Mix together, then pour into the hot liquid, beating well. Remove from heat. 4. Add egg whites and beat until mixture is sparkling. 5. To serve: Place an apple in a large cup, fill the cup with hot wine. Serve with a spoon to eat apple. * To roast apples: Core apples and place in a baking pan. In each apple, put 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon butter. Bake in 500F. oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until the apples are a dark, golden brown. Email this Recipe:
