Instructions: Beat butter and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until mixture is creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate chips and pecan pieces; spoon into a greased 13- x 9- x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degree F. for 30 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack (center will fall as it cools). Cut into squares.
