Instructions: Heat 16 cups water to boiling point.
Add 4 cups corn meal and 2 to 3 tablespoons salt, stirring while adding corn meal. Cook 20 to 30 minutes over low heat or on asbestos pad. Pour in 9x12-inch cake pan to cool. Let set over night. Slice in pieces and fry in deep fat fryer or skillet. 1 cup milk may be added to make it golden brown when frying. Email this Recipe:
