Instructions: In a large pot, put the corn beef. Cover with half dark beer and half water. Boil till done. To convert it into New England Boiled Dinner, add potatoes, (the red ones), and carrots. Add cabbage quartered and cored 15 minutes before the end of the cooking. If you add the cabbage earlier, it will pick up a bitter taste from the beer.
