Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1 cup Finely chopped onions
1 cup Chopped green pepper
3 tbl Bacon drippings
6 slc Fried bacon -- crumbled
3 cup White bread cubes
1 cup Chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Thyme
1/2 tsp Sage
6 x Cornish hens
1/2 cup Melted butter
1/2 cup White wine
1 x Clove garlic -- crushed
1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Saute onion and green pepper in bacon drippings. Add bacon, bread cubes, walnuts and seasonings. Stuff hens, place in roaster pan. Combine remaining ingredients; pour in roaster around hens. Bake at 4oo degrees for 1 hour; baste occasionally with sauce. Turn off heat and cool hens in sauce for 30 minutes before serving.
