1/2 cup cold applesauce (or a 29 oz can of apricots, drained & blended)
2 env un-flavored gelatin
3/4 cup hot applesauce
2 cup white or brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine cold applesauce and gelatin; set 10 minutes. Combine hot applesauce and sugar, bring to a rapid boil, then reduce heat slightly and boil gently for 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a 5 x 9 pan and refrigerate overnight. With a sharp knife dipped in hot water, cut into squares and remove. Coat with powdered sugar and arrange on waxed paper. Cover with more waxed paper and store in a cool place or the refrigerator.
