Instructions: Melt butter in small skillet. Add onions, salt and sugar. Saute until soft and golden. Set aside to cool.
Blend Bisquick, salt, egg product, cottage cheese and milk. Preheat oven to 425F. Spray an 8x8x2 baking pan; bottom, sides and corners. Transfer dough to the pan and spread and shake to level. (Dont overwork the dough with spatula when evening its surface.) Sprinkle the onions on top of the dough. Bake at 425 degrees for about 20 minutes. Serve warm. NOTES : What a treat! Pan bread topped with caramelized onion. Great with soup or salad. Serve it warm. Its similar to focaccia and toughens as it cools. Email this Recipe:
