1/4 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
1 x egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
----------------- Pudding Sauce: ----------------
1 cup sugar
2 tbl butter
Instructions:
Instructions: Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and beat until smooth. Add milk and vanilla, then flour sifted with baking powder and salt. Mix until smooth and pour into greased and floured 9"x9" pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve warm with sauce. For the sauce, bring to a "mad boil" and boil for 2 or 3 minutes. Cool and beat until well mixed and slightly thick.
