Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream shortening together with both sugars. Beat in eggs and add vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder & baking soda & mix with shortening & egg mixture. Stir in rolled oats and coconut, then fold in rice Crispies. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
