Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a large heavy saucepan. and bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and the syrup is very thick, almost caramelized. Ladle into hot sterilized 1/2 pint jars and seal. Process in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool and store in refrigerator after opening.
