2 cup All-purpose flour
2 tsp Baking powder
1 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Grated orange peel
2 tbl Butter
Juice of 1 orange plus
enough water to make 3/4 cup mixture
1 x Egg beaten
1/2 cup Shredded Wisconsin Cheddar cheese
1 cup Fresh or frozen cranberries thawed if frozen
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and orange peel. Cut in butter. Mix in juice mixture, egg, and cheese. Stir in cranberries and walnuts just to blend thoroughly. Turn into lightly buttered 9- by 5- by 3-inch loaf pan; level top. Bake for 60 to 80 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn out onto rack to cool completely. Wrap securely. For best texture and flavor, let stand at least 8 hours before slicing.
