Ingredients:

1 tbl Butter or Margarine
2 tbl Chopped Onion
1 cup Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
1/4 cup Chopped Apple
1/4 cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Apple Juice
1/4 cup Raisins
1/4 cup Chopped Orange Segments
1 tsp Grated Orange Zest
Instructions:
Instructions: Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until softened. Add the cranberries, apple, sugar, and apple juice and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes or until the fruit has softened.

Remove from heat and stir in the raisins, orange segments, orange zest, and cinnamon.

Let the compote stand for 1 to 2 hours or refrigerate, covered, overnight.
