1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup chilled butter or stick margarine cut into small pieces
7 cup diced peeled Rome apple (about 3 pounds)
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
2 tbl granulated sugar
2 tsp grated orange rind
Instructions:
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. Combine flour, cornmeal, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture is crumbly.

3. Combine apple and remaining ingredients in a large bowl; toss well. Spoon the apple mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish or 1-1/2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with the crumb mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Yield: 9 servings.
