Instructions: Found another cranberry dessert...this one is chilled and its from Volume I (Desserts) of my "Favorite Recipes of America" set which I received as a wedding present "umpteen" years ago.
Cook cranberries in water until skins burst. Reserve 15 to 18 cranberries for garnish; put the rest through a sieve. Add sugar. Beat egg whites until stiff; add cranberries, orange rind and lemon juice. Beat until glossy and stiff; chill. Garnish with reserved cranberries.
