Instructions: First you catch some salmon
Then you clean the salmon and keep the head and bones and stuff for bait Then you use the bait to catch a bucket of Crawdads but dont put water in the bucket Boil a large pot of water half full so if you have a 5 gallon bucket use the cold pack pot Add one cup of salt and one cup of Allspice to the half coldpack of water Bring to a boil Add the live crawdads and return the water to a boil Boil 10 minutes and remove from heat Wait 10 minutes then have your taste tester eat one each minute When he says they are done remove from the water and make the water boil for the next batch Serve around campfire 5 gallons serves about 4 people Serve with alcohol If you dont have salmon to use as bait in your traps you can use liver or chicken or cat food. Salmon works best I sometimes freeze it and use it the next week I like to cook at the edge of the river or lake so the crawdads don dont die while you transport. (AtkinsPrincess was asked the right way to eat crawdads:) First you rip off he tail and peal it like a lobster Then the bigger ones you eat the claws by biting a bit of shell off and the little part of the claw Put a finger over the hole and suck the big hole When I make them at home I serve on the picnic table with all the cats in attendance Email this Recipe:
