Instructions: Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Cool slightly to prevent milk from curdling. Stir in evaporated skimmed milk. Chill until as thick as unbeaten egg whites. Stir in fruit. Pour into an 8-inch square pan or 5-cup mold. Chill until firm. Garnish with additional fruit.
Makes 7 (1/2 cup) servings. Suggestions for fruit: apples, peaches, oranges, bing cherries or strawberries. Sandi Says: I always keep cherry pie filling in the house, along with strawberry or cherry jello. Works well. Email this Recipe:
