Instructions: Substitute 1 tsp. maple extract for ginger. Roll out dough; cut using 7" stars using cardboard pattern. Using 3" star cutter, cut out centers from half of large stars. Bake all stars 12-15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in small bowl beat 1 (8oz) pack softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup confectioners sugar & 1/2 tsp. maple extract until smooth. Spread filling over uncut stars; top with cut out stars. Sprinkle filling with sugar crystals. Email this Recipe:
