Instructions: Place the garlic, egg yolks, mustard, sugar and cayenne in a blender or food processor. With the machine running, very slowly add the oil in a thin stream until mixture reaches the consistency of mayonnaise.
Stir in the lemon juice, buttermilk, cheese, chives, and pepper. Cut the lettuce into bite size pieces and place into a large bowl. Cover lettuce with dressing and toss to coat. Serve the salad on chilled plates and garnish with bacon and croutons. Makes 6 Email this Recipe:
