3 x eggs, separated
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp milk
1/4 tsp rum extract
1 env unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup water
Instructions:
Instructions: Blend the egg yolks and 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl and mix in flour. Pour milk into a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Stir in vanilla and rum extract, then add to sugar mixture gradually stirring constantly. Return mixture to a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Soften gelatin in water and stir into hot mixture until dissolved. Stir in cream. Beat the egg whites in a bowl until stiff, adding remaining sugar gradually. Add cream mixture gradually, beating constantly, then chill for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes. Beat well just before serving.
