Instructions: Combine all ingredients except milk, cream and chives in crock. Cook on HIGH for 3 hours.
Puree mixture in blender or food mill and return to cooker. Add milk and cream, stir well. Heat to boiling for about 1 hour on HIGH. Chill and serve with chives. This recipe yields 6 servings. Comments: If chilled soup is too thick for your taste, add milk or cream. Recipe may be doubled for a 6-quart crock. Email this Recipe:
