Instructions: Sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into a large bowl. Dissolve yeast in water, add to dry ingredients, beat until smooth.
Lightly grease egg rings and place a a flat greased fry pan. When hot, 3/4 fill the rings with the batter. Allow to cook over low heat for approximately 7 minutes or until surface is covered with holes. Cover pan and cook furthur 2 minutes or until surface is set. Remove from pan, coll on wire rack. Note: 1 tsp dry yeast can be used in place of the compressed yeast. Sift it in with the dry ingredients. Email this Recipe:
