7 lb Cucumbers
2 gal Cold water
1 cup Barnyard lime
5 lb White sugar
2 qt Apple cider vinegar
1 pkt Cinnamon sticks, broken
1 tsp Mace
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Salt
Instructions:
Instructions: First day: Slice cucumbers in 1/4-inch slices & soak in lime water for 24 hours (2 gallons cold water & 1 cup barnyard lime). Second day: Rince cucumbers 2 or 3 times. Drain well & handle carefully. To the cucumbers add remaining ingredients which have been mixed well. Let stand 24 hours. Third day: Cook mixture of cucumbers & spices together for 20 minutes after boiling starts. Seal HOT.
