Ingredients:

1 can (16 oz) plum tomatoes
1 x Onion, chopped
2 x Cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp Ground cumin
Salt & pepper
1 tbl Plus 1tsp oil
1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes
1 x Egg, lightly beaten
1/2 lb Ground beef
1 cup Dry bread crumbs
1/2 tbl Milk
Instructions:
Instructions: Puree tomatoes w/ liquid in food processor. Saute onion, garlic, 1/4tsp cumin & 1/2tsp salt in 1tbsp oil til onion is soft, 2-3min. Add tomato puree and red pepper flakes. Simmer over low heat, partly covered, 30min.

In large bowl, mix egg, beef, bread crumbs, milk, 1/2tsp pepper, 3/4tsp salt & 1tsp cumin. Shape in 1" balls. Cook meatballs in 1tsp oil til browned all over, 10-15min. Top each meatball w/ a coriander leaf, spear w/ toothpick & serve w/ sauce. makes about 75.
