Instructions: Heat the oil in a wide pot. Add cumin & bay leaves. When bay leaves start to color, add cabbage. Stir for 30 seconds. Add turmeric and cayenne, stir and cover. Cook on low for 5 minutes until cabbage is barely tender. Add chili, peas, salt, and sugar. Uncover and add garam masala. Remove bay leaves before serving. 4 servings.
