2 x Vidalia onions
2 cup flour
2 cup fine cracker crumbs
2 cup white corn meal
2 cup buttermilk
1 cup water
Instructions:
Instructions: Slice onions 1/2-inch thick, do not use the very small rings, save those for chopped onions.

In a large bowl add buttermilk and water. Take out rings one at a time and coat with buttermilk, and then flour. Now gently dip the same ring into buttermilk again, and then coat with corn meal.

Drop into hot oil and fry till golden. Drain on paper towels.

NOTES : These are from the Dairy Queen restaurants in Southeast Texas. All Dairy Queens are not equal, some do only ice cream treats, some are Brazier stores, and some are not. These are not the type from the Brazier stores.
