2 cup flour, self-raising
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
Instructions:
Instructions: Sift the flour and salt, and rub in the butter or margarine. Mix in sufficient milk to form a scone-like dough. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead lightly.

Place the dough into a greased 20cm cake tin, place on a rack in the BBQ kettle, cook approx 30-40 minutes until well browned.

Variations - add any of the following to the dough while mixing: 1 finely diced onion sauteed in a little butter.

2 slices bacon finely chopped and cooked until crisp.

1 cup grated cheese.

1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs.
