Instructions: Mix dates and milk. Cook until thickened, stirring often. Add nuts.

Spread on Ritz crackers. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes. Cool and ice with icing mix.

Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

When I was transferred from the Main office to the PK branch of Graham Savings, one of the first phone calls I answered was from Faye Wilcher.

We began a lasting friendship. The following Christmas, she brought me a batch of the above recipe. I had tasted these at a Womens Club meeting.

Faye and I now have had a long and lasting friendship. We have laughed, cried, had lunch, attended Sunday School and Club together and all because the recipe gave us something in common. Faye now lives in Lubbock but returns to PK as often as possible. Many things can happen when you have a good recipe.
