Instructions: Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Sift together flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Stir into creamed mixture and blend well. Chill dough. Roll out on floured board into a rectangle 1/4 inch thick. Spread with date filling. Roll up jelly-roll fashion; wrap in waxed paper. Chill thoroughly.
