Instructions: Slice each date in half lengthwise, and discard pit. Top each half with 1 teaspoon creme fraiche. For a more elegant presentation, pipe the creme fraiche onto the dates using a pastry bag fitted with a star tip. Sprinkle with chopped nuts or candied ginger, if using.
