Instructions: Desserts are funny old things. When it comes to making them a lot of people wont touch them with a bargepole they just buy frozen or prepared stuff (ummm!). Other people just have a very small repertoire of maybe two or three desserts that they do very well and by varying their fillings or flavours increase their repertoire to about a dozen different desserts. Now thats the spirit we want!

When you go out to a restaurant and are paying a lot of money you expect something a bit special. As a chef I see loads of desserts which are far too fussy for the home situation. I just know that no one will want to make them.

I believe the answer is to give you some simple recipes that you can personalize but without the fussy stuff. So here are some nice and easy basic recipes which can be the platform for your own inspiration. I want you to wander around the markets and shops and when you see something that catches your eye something juicylooking or sweetsmelling and irresistible take it home and make something Lovely from these recipes with it.
