Instructions: Bring syrup ingredients to boil and boil 3 minutes or more. Put one clove of garlic in each jar, then enough dill-size cucumbers to fill jar. On top, place 3 cherry leaves and a grape leaf, plus fresh dill (a large stem). Do not cook pickles, but pour boiling syrup on pickles and seal with zinc lids.
