Instructions: Soften yeast in lukewarm water. Combine hot milk, butter, sugar and salt; cool to lukewarm; add 1 cup of flour; beat well. Then beat in yeast mixture and eggs gradually, adding remaining flour to form a soft dough, beating well. Brush with soft shortening; cover and let rise until double in bulk, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Make into dinner rolls. Let rise second time. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes; brush with soft butter. To make Pecan Rolls: Mix together 1/4 cup butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon light corn syrup; heat thoroughly and pour in bottom of pan. Place rolls on top of syrup.
