Instructions: Boil together the sugar, water and Karo syrup until it spins a thread.
Beat together until stiff, but not dry; the egg whites, cream of tartar and salt. Then slowly add hot syrup, stirring all the time until mixture thickens. Nuts or fruits may be added. Put in greased pan and cut or drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper. Email this Recipe:
