Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1 tsp dried orange peel
1 tsp poppy seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp mace
1 tsp spearmint or 1/4 teaspoon mint extract
2 tbl vinegar
Instructions:
Instructions: Mix the dry ingredients in a 2-cup measuring cup. Add the vinegar and the honey. Warming the honey slightly in the microwave will make it easier to blend with other ingredients. Dressing can be used on any fruit. I prefer a mixture of apples, grapes, pineapple, and oranges. If using canned fruit allow it to drain well before mixing into the salad. If using frozen fruit allow it to thaw and drain before adding to the salad. Mandarin oranges, drained, work well. This makes about 1/3 cup of fruit dressing. This amount will coat about 4 quarts of prepared fruit. If making a smaller salad, store the remaining dressing in a covered container in the refrigerator. Dressing keeps well. Warming slightly in the microwave will make the dressing more fluid and easier to coat the fruit. Using a small amount of this dressing is recommended. It has a taste that is very distinctive.
