Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1 cup chopped onion
1 pkt dried beef (6 oz) cut up
1/4 cup oil (I use less oil)
1 tbl flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 cup cooked potatoes thinly sliced
2 cup cooked carrots thinly sliced
2 cup water
1 x bouillon cube vegetable or beef
----------------- PASTRY ----------------
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup shortening
Instructions:
Instructions: Saute onion and dried beef in oil; stir in flour and seasonings. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Pour hot mixture into 2-quart casserole and cover with pastry. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 425 .

PASTRY: Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Add water a little at a time. Roll out like pie dough.

Note: I dont like to use near as much oil as the main part of this recipe calls for so adjust the amount of oil according to your preference.
