1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 lrg eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1 cup apples, chopped
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
----------------- STREUSEL TOPPING ----------------
1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 tbl sugar
Instructions:
Instructions: Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, then fold in apples and nuts. Top with streusel. Bake in greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until loaf tests done. Topping will bake into loaf.
