Instructions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Generously grease a 10-inch iron skillet and heat in oven.
Meanwhile, combine milk, flour, eggs, 3 tablespoons sugar and almond extract in a bowl, mixing well. Pour into hot skillet, tilting pan so that batter forms collar around sides of pan. Arrange apple wedges in layer over batter. Combine remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over apples. Bake for about 45 minutes or until set and surface is browned.
