Instructions: Boil the potatoes, carrots and onions together until all are soft enough to mash. Drain well, add butter, milk, salt and pepper, mash all together. While the other pot is boiling, boil the sausage in another pot.
The traditional way to serve it is to put the hutspot onto the plate, make a hole in the middle and add a bit of butter, or clear brown gravy (jus), and the sausage on the side. Email this Recipe:
