Instructions: Roll birds in flour-polenta mixture. Brown quickly in drippings in a Dutch oven. Add enough water to keep from sticking, about 1/4 cup, and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Sprinkle on savory and ginger, and continue to cook, basting frequently, for another 30 minutes.
