Instructions: Coarsely chop marzipan to make it easier to break down. In a food processor fitted with a metal blade, process marzipan, butter and sugar until combined.
Add almond and vanilla extracts, process again. Add eggs, one at a time through feed tube, processing again each time. Add flour through tube, processing yet again, and then pour mixture into buttered and floured pan. Bake 40 to 50 minutes. When cake looks golden and cooked and a fine skewer (or a piece of spaghetti) comes out clean-ish, remove from oven and cool in pan before turning out. Note: If you dont have self-rising flour, add 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/8 teaspoon salt to 1 cup cake flour. Email this Recipe:
