Instructions: Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees F.
Trim excess fat, if any**, from pork chops. Season with salt and black pepper. Mix together ingredients for sauce. Set aside. Lightly oil or spray bottom of a 9x13x2 inch dish or pan with baking spray. Place frying pan on to heat with about 1 Tablespoon oil added. Saute chops quickly over high heat for about 3 minutes on each side - just until golden brown. Remove from pan. Drain on paper towels. Place chops in baking dish. on top and cover with remaining sauce. Spread onions and apples around and over them. Top with the sauce. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour. Loosen foil during about the last 10 minutes. Serve chops with rice or potatoes. Spoon apples and onions around them. Offer rolls and iced tea or coffee. * Chicken breast fillets would also be good. If using them, VERY lightly flour them before sauteeing. ** Pork without fat will be dry and tough. Email this Recipe:
