2 can tomato sauce - (8 oz ea) divided
2 x white bread slices torn small pieces
1 lrg egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
1 med onion chopped
1 env dry onion soup mix - (1 oz)
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine 1 can tomato sauce, white bread, and next 5 ingredients. Let stand 10 minutes or until bread is softened.

Combine beef and tomato mixture; shape into 2 loaves. Place on a lightly greased rack in a broiler pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Top with remaining can tomato sauce, and bake 5 more minutes.

Serve 1 loaf immediately, and cool remaining loaf. Freeze cooled loaf up to 1 month; to reheat, thaw in refrigerator overnight, and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

This recipe yields 2 loaves.
