Instructions: Strawberries (I would guess at least 4 pints depending on how much you want. I like allot.)
1.) Prepare and cook cake mix according to directions in 9x13 inch pan. Disposable foil pan, glass, whatever, works just fine. 2.) While the cake is cooking remove the stems and wash the strawberries. Cut into halves or if the big berries cut in fourths. No perfect way of doing em. Just slice em up. 3.) Sprinkle sugar over the top of the berries in a bowl and allow to sit while the cake is cooking; stirring occasionally. This will make the strawberries produce liquid. 4.) Once cooked allow cake to cool completely. When cake is cool poke holes all over the cake with a fork. Dont tear the cake up doing it but the more holes the better. No special way to do it. I go down one way then across the other. 5.) Prepare the Jell-O according to package directions but instead of letting it set in the fridge pour it over the cake saturating the whole cake. 6.) Pour the strawberries and the liquid theyve produced gently over the cake. Thats it! Put it in the fridge covered for about an hour or two to chill. You can serve the cool whip on the side incase someone doesnt care for it. Thats what I do. Email this Recipe:
