1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar
3 x eggs
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
2 tbl bourbon

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Cream sugar and butter or margarine together until light and fluffy. Beat eggs, and add with corn syrup, salt, and vanilla to the creamed mixture; beat well. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts, and bourbon. Pour filling into crust.

3. Place pie on lowest rack in oven. Bake for 45 minutes.

Makes 1 pie

Dont know where the name of this pie came from, but it is one of the best pecan, chocolate pies Ive ever tasted. Serve warm or cold with lightly sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
