Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1 cup White hominy grits
5 cup Boiling water
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
Freshly ground black pepper
1 x Egg, beaten
1 tbl Milk
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
2 tbl Butter
Instructions:
Instructions: Add grits to boiling salted water. Reduce heat, simmer 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool for 30 minutes. Add baking powder, 3/4 cup cheese, onion and pepper. Mix well. Combine egg and milk; add to cooked grits. Pour mixture into well-greased 2 quart baking dish. Top with breadcrumbs and remaining cheese. Dot with butter. Bake in preheated 350 F. oven 25 minutes, or until browned on top. Great with chicken or meat dishes!
