Instructions: Cream butter and 1 cup sugar in a mixer bowl. Add eggs and mix well. Add dry ingredients and milk; mix until smooth. Pour into a 9X5X3-inch greased loaf pan. Bake at 350F degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Combine lemon juice, 1/3 cup sugar, and lemon peel in a saucepan and heat to a boil. Pour glaze over cake immediately after removing from the oven. Cool completely in pan. Slice and serve. Email this Recipe:
